Wildcat Water Polo is a competitive water polo club for middle school and high school athletes. We practice 3 days per week at Cherokee County Aquatic Center. Wildcat Water Polo has a great history of achievement: Wildcats were co-ed state runner-ups three times (2007, 2008, 2009), our Boys team was state champions in 2017 and 2019, and our Girls team was state champions in 2018! We field multiple teams that compete in the Georgia High School Water Polo Association league which competes every fall (and in this Spring 2021). Each team is split by ability, and compete in different divisions against appropriate opponents. We will compete in roughly 10-12 games per team, plus Division Championship and State Championship tournaments at the end of the season in May.
Practice schedule may vary by team, check out the practice schedule link. Game schedules also vary by team. Primarily we will play games on the weekend, but weekday games are possible. Must have AWP membership before the first official practice. Beginners are encouraged to attend the Earlybird Beginner Clinic before the season starts. Returning players, please come to our Pre-season workouts and pickup games.
Tryout week starts Tuesday January 9th, bring your Waiver to your first day of tryouts. Season cost is tentative.
We use Teamstuff to manage RSVPs for each game. It's a handy free app that shows you the team schedule, gives game reminders, and allows us to see who is coming to the games.
